With "Disse Fugle Får Ingen At Se", the Copenhagen black metal formation MORILD makes an impressive return - six years after their debut album "Så kom mørket (...)". What the quintet delivers on this second longplayer is less a classic metal album than a dark sound ritual that unfolds over 45 intense minutes and culminates in four sprawling compositions. Released on CD and vinyl LP on Vendetta.

The title already gives an idea of the thematic core of the album: disappearance, invisibility, transience. And indeed, Disse Fugle Får Ingen At Se is a work that does not reveal itself at first glance - it requires time, attention and a certain willingness to engage with a dense, almost meditative world of sound. The songs, written over a period of almost three years (2020-2023), carry the scars of this time within them: isolation, reflection, transformation.

The production remains pleasantly unagitated - no bombast, no over-compression, but an honest, open sound that leaves room for dynamics. Musically, the album moves between classic atmospheric black metal and post-metal openness. Raging blast beats and tremolo guitars meet ambient passages, spoken word and expansive melodic arcs.
