"SANGRE JOVEN" was the second studio album by the Madrid-based heavy metal band Sobredosis, released on October 6, 1985, under the Chapa Discos label—the most prominent heavy metal imprint across the entire Iberian Peninsula at the time. It was produced by "Fortu" Sánchez (vocalist for Obús) and Francisco Laguna, resulting in a work of the highest caliber—one that stood firmly alongside the great classics of Iberian heavy metal from that era.
"Sangre Joven" Lineup:
Santiago "Santi" Alonso – Vocals
Manuel Manrique – Guitar
José de Benito – Guitar
Salvador "Salva" Aldana – Bass
Luis García – Drums
This album is considered a classic of 1980s Spanish metal—not only for its powerful and fast-paced sound (a marked evolution from their debut album) but also for its versatile musicality, which displayed clear influences from classic hard rock. It captured the band at the very peak of their musical maturity, with lyrics that reflected the reality of youth culture at the time—a generation fully immersed in the rock 'n' roll lifestyle.
Now, in 2026—coinciding with the band's reunion on April 17th in Madrid—we have remastered the album at Khazad-dûm Studios in Cantabria. The result is an authentically powerful version of "Sangre Joven," serving as a well-deserved legacy of pure, unadulterated Iberian heavy metal for new generations of fans.
