Sodom - M-16 CD
Sodom - M-16 CD
'M-16', a work that tugs on the nerves both musically and in terms of content and continues to put its finger on an open wound in human history to this day. The theme of the concept album is the Vietnam War, which raged between North and South Vietnam in the 1960s and in which at times 500,000 US soldiers fought bitter battles with units from the Eastern Bloc. In songs like 'Among The Weirdcong', 'Napalm In The Morning', 'Minejumper' and 'Cannon Fodder', the musicians who were involved in the album at the time include Tom Angelripper (vocals, bass), Bernemann (guitar) and Bobby Schottkowski (drums). impressive images of war, brutalization and devastation, of the grievances and excesses of western civilization, dressed in harsh metal sounds and unmistakable words. With 'M-16', Sodom continued their tradition of politically committed and socially critical albums such as 'Agent Orange' (1989) or 'Code Red' (1999).
