Although this is the debut demo of this project, URUTAU are not new to Brazil's extreme scene from which they hail. Nihilistic Paraphilia offers a refreshing approach to black/death metal that is both rooted in tradition and abyssal, blaringly heavy riffs without sounding atonal. The songwriting is very strong, making it one of the most exceptional first demos of the year.
